On November 7, 2023, Waterloo Schools will have a renewal levy on the ballot.
- Issue 28 is a renewal that will not increase taxes.
- Without this renewal Waterloo will lose almost a million dollars of funding per year.
- Cuts in sports, preschool, staffing, supplementals and special events would still not make up for this potential million-dollar funding loss.
Waterloo has made significant strides over the years.
- On the most recent state report card the District earned 4 out of 5 stars, the high school earned 4.5 out of 5 stars and the elementary earned 4 out of 5 stars.
- When comparing overall scores, Waterloo scored higher than Rootstown, Southeast, Ravenna, Crestwood, Streetsboro, Windham, and James A. Garfield.
- We are expanding opportunities for our students. Agriculture classes started this year. The expansion of our STEM offerings includes robotics and App Creator. And students can earn up to 6 credits of college Math for free at Waterloo.
