There are Seven indicators with the Public Health Advisory System. Portage County is meeting the following THREE/SEVEN Indicators:
Indicator One- New Cases per Capita (High Incidence at 224/100k population)
Indicator Three-Non Congregate Cases
Indicator Five-Outpatient Visits
Residents should follow the recommended guidelines for Risk Level 3 to reduce the spread of COVID-19: (Same as the previous weeks in the RED status)
Conduct a daily health/symptom self-evaluation.
Stay at home if symptomatic.
Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet from non-household members.
Wear a face covering/mask.
Consider necessary travel only.
Follow good hygiene standards, including:
Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Use hand sanitizer frequently.
Avoid touching your face.
Clean all high-touch surfaces often.
Decrease in-person interactions with others.
Limit attending gatherings of any number.
Seek medical care as needed, but limit or avoid unnecessary visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and residential care facilities to see others as much as possible.
As a reminder, typical COVID-19 signs and symptoms are the following:
Have one or both of the following:
Cough
Shortness of breath
And/or, have at least two of the following:
Fever (>100.4)
Chills
Headache
Muscle and/or joint pains
Nausea and/or vomiting
Sore throat
New loss of taste and/or smell
Diarrhea
