Come decorate delicious gingerbread houses and Christmas cookies Dec. 14 from noon to 3 p.m. in the atrium of The New Center at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEO MED), 4211 Route 44 in Rootstown.

This will be the second year hosting the now annual Gingerbread Decorating Event. Proceeds from this event will go to Angel Tree, a Prison Fellowship Program. The event is open to the public with no fee to attend.

Games, crafts and decorating activities will be available for a donation. Attendees can take away one of the special home decorating kits, bake sale snacks or craft kits. All will be available from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets for raffle items will be available at the registration table.

Children must always be accompanied by adults.

Proceeds and donations will help provide a Christmas gift to a child in Portage County, on behalf of their incarcerated parent(s). For more informaton, visit
