Teen drivers were at fault for 1,475 out of 6,000 crashes reported between 2016 and 2018. That’s nearly 25% of crashes. This is below average for the entire state of Ohio. In Ohio as a whole, teens were involved in 132,153 of 220,000 crashes investigated. That’s roughly 60%.

We encourage parents and mentors in our community to teach young drivers about the hazards of distracted driving. Distracted driving also plays a large role in motorcycle accidents. Please see our earlier post about motorcycle safety here.

Please drive safely and stay alert.
